  • Our emergency hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with critical care support available.

    For an urgent transfer, call (941) 739-1800 and selection ‘Option 1’ to speak with the Critical Care team.

  • VMC provides surgery, ophthalmology, cardiology, critical care, and diagnostic imaging services.

    Specialty care is provided on scheduled service days. Call (941) 739-1800 to schedule an appointment.

    Specialty Hours:

    Critical Care: Mon-Sat, 7a-7p
    Cardiology: Tues-Fri, 8a-5p
    Diagnostic Imaging: Tue/Thurs (outpatient appts). Emergent appts available through ER.
    Ophthalmology: Mon-Thurs, 8a-5p
    Surgery: Mon-Thurs, 8a-6p


    Stable outpatient ultrasound and CT patients are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
